An NFC emergency card can save lives and speed up treatment in an emergency.
The NFC emergency card is a credit card-sized card that contains all the important medical information needed in an emergency. With a simple scan using an NFC-enabled smartphone, emergency services and medical personnel can immediately access your medical information to act quickly and effectively. All important health information can be stored on the card. This can include information about allergies, medication, previous illnesses and emergency contacts.
In the case of Team Rynkeby, we decided to add a QR code with the most important health data in addition to the NFC functionality. This means that the data can also be transmitted using a non-NFC-enabled smartphone.

🎗️ Metriax & Team Rynkeby
Team Rynkeby is Europe’s largest cycling initiative for a good cause.
Since 2011, dedicated amateur cyclists, supported by many volunteers and sponsors, have been riding to Paris. In addition to the sporting enthusiasm, helping seriously ill children is a matter close to their hearts.
In 2023, around 2,400 amateur cyclists and 550 volunteers, spread across 64 regional teams in 9 countries, will set off for Paris to collect donations.
Over the past 22 years, Team Rynkeby has raised 85.8 million euros for seriously ill children.
Team Rynkeby has also existed in Germany since 2018. The aim here is to support research into cancer in children and young people. The German team’s donations therefore go to the German Children’s Cancer Foundation, whose important work benefits children with cancer. A large proportion is financed by sponsorship from charitable companies. All of the donations collected go to the German Childhood Cancer Foundation and thus benefit seriously ill children and their families.
