If you are looking for a high-performance RFID reader that is equipped with Modbus RTU protocol and has also proven itself in industrial RFID applications, the MDE-950 is the right RFID device for you.
In use worldwide, the reader convinces by absolute reliability and high performance. Due to IP65 (jet water protection) it can be installed almost everywhere. Even without a housing, the RFID reader is still CE-certified and continues to meet the requirements of IP65. This means that it can also be retrofitted in a very space-saving manner.

In the field of electromobility, for example, the MDE-950 RFID reader is used to activate charging processes at charging stations. The user group of the charging station can be precisely defined in order to prevent unauthorized access. This is particularly relevant for public or semi-public charging stations. At the same time, user identification can take place in order, for example, to be able to bill the charging time individually per user. In addition to the release and billing of charging processes, data can also be collected in this way in order to later provide customers with consumption and sales statistics. This increases the overview and transparency for your customers as to how much electricity was actually charged at the charging station.
The charging process can be easily activated contactlessly using RFID or NFC technology. To do this, simply hold a card or key fob in front of the device. The reading distance is approximately 1-4 cm, depending on the type of card or transponder used.

The MDQ-Mini is an EMV L1 certified NFC reader that can read and scan NFC tags as well as barcodes and QR codes. It is designed for 13.56 MHz contactless card communication technology and can be operated via USB, RS-232, RS-485 or Wiegand interface. Its elegant yet rugged design allows for many different uses. Suitable for tabletop and wall mounting indoors as well as outdoors.
The large wide angle reading range of 72 °(Horizontal) * 57°(Vertical) and the four LEDs allow reading 1D/2D barcodes and QR codes in different sizes and from different angles. The QR code recognition is optimized for the use of mobile devices.
The built-in light sensor and adjustable brightness of the LED illumination make it easy to use in dark environments.
The MDQ Mini accepts NFC and EMV cards (contactless Visa, contactless Mastercard and e-wallet (NFC/QR)).
In addition, all common RFID & NFC transponders are supported (ISO 14443 A/B, ISO15693, ISO18092 (NFC), MIFARE Classic®, MIFARE Ultralight®, MIFARE Plus®, MIFARE® DESFire®, FeliCa®).
